Yes, BYD battery storage systems are fully supported by our system! However, as we operate as an intelligent Home Energy Management System (HEMS), communication with the battery storage does not occur directly, but always via your connected inverter.
🔌 How does the integration work?
BYD does not provide a direct interface for external energy managers. However, this is not an issue:
The inverter as a bridge: Your BYD battery storage is physically and digitally connected to your inverter (e.g., from Fronius, SMA, Sungrow, etc.).
Data transmission to our system: We communicate directly with this inverter.
Reading and control: Once the inverter is integrated into our system, we automatically receive all relevant data from your BYD battery storage (such as the current state of charge/SoC and the charge/discharge power) and can use this for your smart energy management.
✅ What do you need to do?
You do not need to add your BYD battery storage separately to make it visible and usable. Simply follow these steps:
Ensure that the inverter to which the BYD battery storage is connected is compatible with our system.
Add this inverter as a new device in the app.
The battery storage data will then be automatically detected and displayed on your dashboard.
