Tesla offers a simple way to transmit vehicle data from your Model S, 3, X, or Y to our system, allowing for intelligent control of the charging session.
Please wake up the vehicle before adding your car.
Our new integration requires:
The vehicle must have at least Car Version 2023.20.6.
1st and 2nd generation models are not supported.
Only vehicles from approximately model year 2019 onwards are supported.
Connect Account
If you have not yet linked a Tesla account, click on [Connect Tesla account]. You will be redirected to the Tesla login page. Here, you can log in with your Tesla account. Your credentials will not be shared with us. If you have already connected an account, you can add your linked vehicles using the [Use connected account] button.
Grant Access
After a successful login, you will be asked if our app may access your Tesla account. Please grant us the following permissions to ensure a seamless integration:

Why do we need these permissions?
We only process vehicle data that is truly relevant for automatic control. This includes, among others: SoC, charge limit, range, charging power, model name, VIN, mileage, software version, and location (for home location identification).
Since the Tesla "sleeps" after a certain period to save energy, it is necessary to "wake it up." Otherwise, the vehicle will not accept control commands. The "Vehicle Commands" permission is required for this. We guarantee that no other commands from this category are used.
Configuration
You can then select your car from a list. Clicking [Continue] will take you to the car's configuration page.
Here, you can set whether you operate your Tesla with a wallbox already integrated into our system, or if you want to control the car directly.
If the car is operated via a wallbox, the car's consumption is not added to the household consumption, as the energy data is already captured by the wallbox.
Clicking [Continue] will take you to your car's home location settings.
Home Location Setting
It is important that you save your home address in our app to disable car control when you are not at home. Otherwise, it could happen that we control the car during an external charging session, which would be undesirable.
The [Check address] button verifies the address for plausibility. Once the address is found, you can complete the configuration by clicking [Add car].
Install Certificate
Tesla vehicles can only be controlled by us if our certificate is installed on the car. This ensures that only authorized partners can control the car. Please click on [Install certificate] in the final step. You will then be redirected to your Tesla app and asked to install our certificate on your car.
- This only works on the smartphone where the Tesla app is installed and where you are logged in with your Tesla account.
- On iOS devices, Safari must be set as the default browser. (Apple instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/104975#:~:text=Go%20to%20Settings%20and%20scroll,to%20confirm%20it%27s%20the%20default.)
- On Android devices, Chrome must be set as the default browser.
- If the font size is too large, it may lead to display limitations.
Completion
Once you have added the certificate, you can return to our app and click [To devices]. Your car should now appear in the list.

Q: Why does my car not start the charging session?
A: If you set the minimum charging power to less than 6 Amperes, issues may occur when starting the charging session.
