ABB Terra AC

ABB offers the Terra AC, a modern wallbox that can use the OCPP interface to charge your vehicle with PV surplus from your solar system.

By integrating it with our system, the wallbox can be operated from anywhere in the world. However, the use of the ABB ChargerSync™ App and web platform is limited as a result.

 

Preparation

To connect the ABB Terra AC to our system, you must activate the wallbox's OCPP backend.

Before starting the setup, you must connect your ABB wallbox to the internet and install the latest updates.

When you add the wallbox in our system, your OCPP URL will be displayed in the wallbox menu.

 

You must now enter this link in TerraConfig.

 

  1. Go to your TerraConfig app
  2. Go to "Configure a charger"image0 (3).png
  3. Select your wallboximage1 (1).png
  4. Ensure that the charging current is set to the maximum powerimage2.png
  5. Tap on "OCPP Server"
  6. Activate "Enable external server"image3.png
  7. Go to "Custom server - only available on your device"
  8. Enter your OCPP URLimage4.png
  9. Tap on "Confirm configuration"

 

Alternative method:

To set up the OCPP backend, access to the TerraConfig Portal https://abb.installer.chargedot.com/ is required. This access must be requested via ABB, or your installer may already have access.

Additionally, the TerraConfig App is required.

IMPORTANT:

When entering the data, ensure that “ws://” is selected as the type and that the URL field is filled in without the preceding “ws://”.

A password is not required; the [Password checkbox] must be deactivated. Confirm the setup by tapping [Okay].

 
 

After configuring it in the portal, open the TerraConfig App and connect to your wallbox.

Integration

Once you have completed this configuration, it may take up to 10 minutes for your wallbox to register in our backend. As soon as the connection to your wallbox is established, it will appear in our app in the dropdown menu under your OCPP URL.

 
 

Now you can complete the remaining wallbox settings and save your wallbox.

 

⚠️ To receive the first status update from the wallbox, a charging session must be started.
