You can connect your Sungrow wallbox to our HEMS via the OCPP interface to charge using PV surplus or low-cost spot price electricity. Manual control is also possible via this integration.

Preparation

To connect the SUNGROW wallbox to our system, you must activate the wallbox's OCPP backend.

Before starting the setup, you must connect your wallbox to the internet and install the latest updates. This is done via the Sungrow iEnergyCharge app. For Wi-Fi connection instructions, please refer to the Sungrow manual: https://ger.sungrowpower.com/upload/file/20240130/DE_UM_AC011E-01_Benutzerhandbuch.pdf Based on our experience, the following procedure is recommended:

1. Disconnect the wallbox from the power supply for 10 seconds.

2. After restarting, the wallbox will broadcast a Wi-Fi hotspot.

3. Log in to the Wi-Fi hotspot using the password admin123.

4. Open your browser and enter the wallbox IP address (192.168.4.1) in the address bar.

5. You can then log in to the wallbox menu using SGC666.

6. Click on [Network Settings] and enter your Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi credentials.

7. Now copy the OCPP link and add it in the [Network Settings] section. It is important that the URL starts with wss:// and that port 443 is included, as shown in the image.

8. The wallbox will automatically append its ID to the URL. Click [Confirm] to apply the settings. The wallbox will restart and connect to the backend.

9. Ensure that load management is disabled and the maximum charging current is not set too low.

10. The wallbox will appear in our app for selection by its serial number. If it does not appear, you can cancel the setup in our app and restart it. It may also take up to 10 minutes for the wallbox to connect.

⚠️ To receive the initial status from the wallbox, you may need to start a charging session.
