go-e offers an affordable and compact wallbox with its go-e Charger, capable of charging your vehicle using PV surplus from your solar system. One of its key features is the ability to perform automatic phase switching, which is also supported by our system.

The go-e Charger features various online interfaces that allow us to communicate with your wallbox. We use direct communication with the wallbox via OCPP.

Preparation

To connect the go-e Charger to our system, you must activate the wallbox's OCPP backend.

Before starting the setup, you must connect your wallbox to the internet via Wi-Fi and install the latest updates. We have tested this with firmware 56.8.

To set up the OCPP backend, access via the go-e App is required. The OCPP connection has the advantage that the wallbox transmits information directly to us. It remains connected to the go-e Server in parallel and can still be controlled via the go-e App. 🚧Currently, the latest hardware versions, go-e Gemini (V4) and go-e Charger V3, are supported. Integration of the go-e V2 is currently only possible via the cloud API.

Setup

1. Add a new wallbox in our system and select the go-e Charger.

2. When you add the wallbox in our system, your individual OCPP-URL will be displayed in the wallbox menu.

Copy the OCPP-URL and enter it into your go-e Charger.

3. Open your go-e App and go to the [Settings] menu.

4. Tap [Connection].

5. Tap [OCPP].

6. Enter the OCPP-URL under [OCPP Server-URL] and activate OCPP using the [ON] toggle switch. 🚧If you are using the web interface for setup, you must adjust the URL. Replace ws:// with wss:// and add "/anyName" to the end of the link. The URL must follow this format: wss://cleverpv-ocpp.azurewebsites.net/ocpp/XXXXXX/anyName XXXXXX is a placeholder and is included in your personal URL.

6. Then return to our app, where the go-e wallbox will appear as an OCPP Connector. Accept the terms and click [Save].

7. Complete the setup.

In some cases, the wallbox may appear as offline after setup; please wait a moment or refresh the page to update the status.

Digital Input
 

The digital input is used for power limitation and can be configured under Settings -> Safety.

Please ensure correct configuration here to avoid charging power limitations during normal operation.

You can now have your wallbox controlled automatically and charge your car with low-cost solar power!
